AmeriCorps VISTA Community Engagement Specialist
The Land Conservancy is hiring a Community Engagement Specialist, who will work closely with the Deputy Executive Director to support critical aspects of the proposed DL&W corridor nature trail and greenway through the Old First Ward, Perry and Valley neighborhoods in the city of Buffalo. This will consist of tasks supporting the creation of an Equitable Development Plan, engaging community stakeholders, the development of a volunteer program, the implementation of outdoor recreation programs and creating a project fundraising strategy. The Community Engagement Specialist will be an integral part of the Development and Special Projects team. This position will be primarily responsible for coordination and communication with internal and external partners and stakeholders in the DL&W project, with an emphasis on the people living in the neighborhoods adjacent to the future trail and greenway. Similar tasks related to development and communications support for other Land Conservancy projects will also be integral components of this position.
