The Kathy Bieler mill road scenic overlook

The Kathy Bieler Mill Road Scenic Overlook
Location: Aurora, Erie County
Size: 60 acres

Ideally located along the WNY Southtowns Scenic Byway, the Mill Road Scenic Overlook is one of the most picturesque locations in our region. The land is owned by the Town of Aurora and the Land Conservancy holds a conservation easement on the property.

The Mill Road Scenic Overlook is one of Aurora’s most important natural areas. It includes 18 acres of mature forest with a dense hemlock grove, an intermittent stream, a sedge marsh, and 30 acres of open meadow that support rare grassland bird species including nesting populations of bobolinks.

Although there are no trails at the Mill Road Scenic Overlook, visitors can sit on the benches located next to a small parking area. These benches provide excellent views of the meadow. The Mill Road Scenic Overlook is located between Sweet Road and Blakeley Road.

Address: 1245 Mill Road, East Aurora, NY 14052
