We are starting work on our Niagara Gorge restoration project that will enhance the gorge with beautiful native plants for our wildlife and the Niagara Falls community.
We invite you to join us for our project unveiling on Monday, November 13th at 7pm at the Niagara Falls Public Central Library. The event will include short presentations by our staff, our landscape designers, and our restoration team, with details on project locations, goals, timeline, process and strategy, and renderings of proposed landscapes.
There is no cost to attend, but we ask everyone to register in advance. Everyone will have an opportunity to provide feedback.

Volunteer Trail Day: How to Close Unwanted Trails

Saturday, November 11 from 9am to noon

Our trail plans for the new Owens Falls Sanctuary in the Town of Aurora are complete and trail building began on Monday. Part of the process includes closing unofficial trails that lead to neighboring properties and areas damaged by misuse.
We are looking for 15 volunteers to lend a hand with this important task from 9am to noon on Saturday, November 11th.
Staff from our talented consultant, Tahawus Trails, will be training volunteers on the right way to close these old trails. Volunteers will get to put their knowledge into practice. This event will require physical labor and attendees should bring rakes or shovels if possible.
BONUS! This event offers a sneak peek at the Owens Falls Sanctuary before we open it to the public…
