Voice & Viola at Kenneglenn

Saturday, October 22 from 2:30 to 4:30 pm

Join us for a celebration of autumn color in music, poetry, and nature presented by poet Robert M. Giannetti and violist Leslie Bahler. This talented duo pairs music from folk and classical traditions with original poetry in an engaging program specially created to honor Kenneglenn’s enchanting autumn setting. Attendees will enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres. If weather permits, this will take place outside overlooking a colorful meadow and fall foliage. Tickets are $100 each and all proceeds will support the work of the Land Conservancy. Buy your tickets today.

Success at our 25th Anniversary Gala

On Wednesday, September 21st, more than 275 people gathered at Statler City in downtown Buffalo to celebrate our 25th Anniversary at the Land Conservancy’s Gala. Led by celebrity emcee Steve Tasker, attendees enjoyed live gypsy jazz music, watched some of our most dedicated members–Kathy Lasher and Joanne Schlegel–receive awards, honored Gerry Rising for his inspirational nature writing, enjoyed a delicious dinner, and participated in a live auction led by famed auctioneer Cash Cunningham! An anonymous donor contributed a $15,000 challenge gift in support of the Land Conservancy’s work, which was matched thanks to the generosity of the gala attendees!

We were pleased to announce at the Gala that we surpassed our fundraising goal for Jackson Falls. The property will be renamed “The Owens Falls Sanctuary,” in honor of Don and Barbara Owens, who donated $200,000 to ensure this special places is protected forever. The room was filled with cheers and applause as the Owens received a standing ovation!

It was a phenomenal night of celebration and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who made it such a success. Thank you!
